CBS previously announced that THE COLOR PURPLE's Danielle Brooks (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) will visit THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT tonight, Jan. 27th.

The hit new Broadway musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS will launch a digital lottery beginning Tuesday, January 26. A limited number of tickets will be available through the lottery which will open at 8:00am for matinees / 10:00am for evening performances and will remain open until 11am / 3pm when winners are drawn.

Toronto audiences refuse to let KINKY BOOTS end at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. The show, which had its Canadian debut on June 16, 2015, was originally booked for a 12-week run. The demand from audiences was so strong, it has already been extended three times. In fact, GASLIGHT, which was supposed to play at the Royal Alex was moved to a reconfigured Ed Mirvish Theatre, so that KINKY BOOTS could be extended.

THE COLOR PURPLE, which opened last night to ecstatic reviews, will record its official cast album this Monday, December 14, 2015.  The new Broadway cast recording will be released by Broadway Records on January 29, 2016and can pre-ordered at Amazon.com and at www.BroadwayRecords.com.  The album is being produced by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.

On last night's LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, Jennifer Hudson and the cast of Broadway's THE COLOR PURPLE performed the number 'Push Da Button'.

KINKY BOOTS, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for KINKY BOOTS), opens at the Fox Theatre March 29 - April 3, 2015 as part of the 2015/2016 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta series. Tickets go on sale January 10.

CBS has announced that on Monday, Dec. 7th,  Jennifer Hudson will appear on LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT for an interview and a performance from the Broadway production of THE COLOR PURPLE.

On this morning's GMA, THE COLOR PURPLE's Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo took to the stage with a powerful performance of the title song. Later, the actors discuss the stage adaptation of the classsic novel.
