The 2013 Tony Award-winning musical PIPPIN, described as "an eye-popping, jaw-dropping, visually stunning extravaganza" by NY1, visits the Providence Performing Arts Center February 16 - 21, 2016. In Providence, PIPPIN is part of the Taco/White Family Foundation Broadway Series.

Back by popular demand, Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), will return to DPAC September 13-18 as part of the Encore Broadway at DPAC series.

THE COLOR PURPLE, which opened last night to ecstatic reviews, will record its official cast album this Monday, December 14, 2015.  The new Broadway cast recording will be released by Broadway Records on January 29, 2016and can pre-ordered at Amazon.com and at www.BroadwayRecords.com.  The album is being produced by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.

On last night's LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, Jennifer Hudson and the cast of Broadway's THE COLOR PURPLE performed the number 'Push Da Button'.

KINKY BOOTS, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for KINKY BOOTS), opens at the Fox Theatre March 29 - April 3, 2015 as part of the 2015/2016 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta series. CBS has announced that on Monday, Dec. 7th,  Jennifer Hudson will appear on LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT for an interview and a performance from the Broadway production of THE COLOR PURPLE.

On this morning's GMA, THE COLOR PURPLE's Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo took to the stage with a powerful performance of the title song. Later, the actors discuss the stage adaptation of the classsic novel.
