Victory Gardens Theater continues its 42st season with the world premiere of Roz and Ray, written by Karen Hartman and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Roz and Ray features Mary Beth Fisher (Roz) and James Vincent Meredith (Ray). This World Premiere runs November 11 - December 11, 2016, with the press performance on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 7:30 pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

In honor of its 35th Anniversary season, the Huntington Theatre Company will hold a free Open House at its mainstage theatre on the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre (264 Huntington Avenue) on Monday, October 10 from 10am until 2pm. The event will be open to the public from 11am until 2pm; the 10am hour will be exclusive for Huntington subscribers and donors.

Portland Center Stage at The Armory debuts its new Northwest Stories series with Jeanne Sakata's Hold These Truths, a play inspired by the life of civil rights hero Gordon Hirabayashi, a Seattle native who was posthumously awarded the 2012 Presidential Medal of Freedom. Hold These Truths opens in the Ellyn Bye Studio on October 7, with previews beginning October 1 and performances running through November 13. Hold These Truths will be directed by Jessica Kubzansky, who directed the world premiere at East West Players in Los Angeles. Actor Ryun Yu, who originated the role of Hirabayashi at East West Players, will once again play the role in Portland.

The Huntington Theatre Company Board of Trustees names David R. Epstein to the role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sharon Malt to President, Carol B. Langer to Treasurer, and Sherryl Cohen to Clerk. Mr. Epstein and Ms. Malt assumed their new leadership roles at Monday's Huntington Board of Trustees meeting. Mr. Epstein succeeds Carol G. Deane (active in real estate management), Huntington Trustee Chairman since 2010; Ms. Malt succeeds Mitchell Roberts (owner of PR Restaurants LLC, a Panera Bread franchise), President since 2010. Both Ms. Deane and Mr. Roberts will continue to serve on the Huntington's Board of Trustees and Executive Committee.
