Titanic composer/lyricist Maury Yeston has joined a panel that will precede the June 21 benefit concert of the Tony-winning musical. The conversation will focus on the creative process of creating the original Broadway production, the historical event itself, and the ethical issues brought to light by the sinking and the great loss of life. The talkback will begin at 6:30 PM and is included in the cost of admission to the 7:30 PM concert, which will benefit the New York Society for Ethical Culture (NYSEC). Arriving in Toronto the day before spring, the Tony winning musical Spring Awakening will please the devoted coterie of fans, but those familiar with Frank Wedekind's original play will find the musical adaptation is decidedly inferior.
