The Little Orchestra Society presents a rollicking update of Victor Herbert's 1903 holiday extravaganza, BABES IN TOYLAND, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. James Judd guest conducts the original Herbert score (with some updated lyrics) as vibrant toys come to life to save a run-down toy store from extinction by an evil villain, and to remind us of the true value of friendship, teamwork, helping others, and the power of holiday spirit. The Hampstead Theatre has announced the world premiere of CHARIOTS OF FIRE. Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett brings the Olympic story to the stage for the first time in a new adaptation inspired by Colin Welland's original screenplay. Directed by Hampstead Theatre's Artistic Director Edward Hall, CHARIOTS OF FIRE will be performed on a spectacular set by award-winning designer Miriam Buether, which transforms Hampstead Theatre into a stadium, making an immersive experience that evokes the 1924 Paris games. The production will also feature the legendary music of the Vangelis score with additional live music and arrangements by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Carr.

After almost 1000 West End manicures, perms and make-overs, Legally Blonde The Musical will have its final performance at the Savoy Theatre on Saturday 7 April 2012, when principal contracts end. The production now in its third year has transformed the Savoy Theatre into a pink haven for Elle and her sorority girlfriends. Legally Blonde The Musical opened in December 2009 to rave reviews and the show went on to win seven theatre awards including the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical. Legally Blonde The Musical continues its tour of the UK and plans are in place for an Australian production to open in Sydney later this year.
