Boomerang Theatre Company recently presented the development workshop of LOVELESS TEXAS, the new musical from Boomerang Associate Artistic Director Cailin Heffernan and composer Henry Aronson. Boomerang Theatre Company continues as producer on the project, following up on the 2010 industry reading at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater.

Earlier this week, the cast of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES reunited at Highline Ballroom for DON'T BREAK UP THE BAND.  Presented by Showmance Productions, the evening featured ROCK OF AGES Broadway cast members from opening night to closing night, as well as band members from the show's fictional rock band, Arsenal. Directed by Matthew DiCarlo and with music direction by Henry Aronson, The concert included songs from bands like REO Speedwagon, STYX, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, Whitesnake and more! New Light Theater Project (recently represented in New York with their acclaimed production of In The Soundless Awe) will present the New York City Premiere of Jared Reinmuth's MONTE CRISTO, an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' 1844 classic adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo. The production will be directed by award-winner Cailin Heffernan. Previews begin January 22 at Urban Stages with opening slated for January 28.

The PATH Fund's 22nd annual ROCKERS ON BROADWAY 80's REWIND was just held last night, honoring 80's Pop Princess, Debbie Gibson with the Rockers Lifetime Achievement Award and May Pang with the Rockers Ambassador of Rock Award. ROCKERS ON BROADWAY is a fun and unique charity concert that featured Broadway's best rockers performing the biggest hits in 80's Rock n' Roll. Proceeds from the evening benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BCEFA) and non-profit performing arts education programs.
