Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces 2009-10 Season

Palm Beach Dramaworks will kick off its 10th Anniversary season with Henrik Ibsen's legendary 'A Doll's House' on Friday, October 16th (8PM) at their intimate downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard). The season will continue with quite a roster of plays, 'Copenhagen' by Michael Frayn, 'American Buffalo' by David Mamet and 'Three Tall Women' by Edward Albee.

Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company is proud to announce a call for submissions for its fifth season of the Global Age Project (GAP) festival of new works. The company will choose four new plays to be presented as staged readings with professional directors and actors during the GAP festival in February of 2010; the festival will coincide with the company's fully-staged World Premiere of 2009 GAP finalist Joel Drake Johnson's new play, The First Grade.

The free staged-readings begin May 28th at the East 13th Street Theatre (136 East 13th Street, between 3rd & 4th Avenues, just southeast of Union Square) where Epic is currently presenting the World Premiere of A More Perfect Union by Vern Thiessen.

Accidental Repertory Theater's featured production this spring will be Ibsen's 'A Doll's House,' Artistic Director John Strasberg announced. Using multiple casts and multiple texts, the three-year old company will perform Ibsen's Victorian masterpiece, exploring 'the hidden patterns and thoughts that define our relationships, from then till now,' Strasberg said. The play will run Thursdays through Saturdays, April 23 - May 16, 8pm, at John Strasberg Studios, 555 Eighth Avenue, NYC.
