THE KATSELAS THEATRE COMPANY is proud to announce the extension of the smash hit World Premiere MAD WOMEN, conceived, written and performed by John Fleck, directed by Ric Montejano.

Christie Brinkley, who made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in CHICAGO earlier this year, receiving great critical acclaim, will come direct from New York to play the role in London's West End from Monday 11 July for a strictly limited four-week season, ending on Saturday 6 August. She will be joined by Amra-Faye Wright, who has been playing Velma Kelly opposite Christie on Broadway. Amra-Faye will also star in the Cambridge Theatre production from 11 July to 6 August. Jonathan Wilkes will continue in the role of Billy Flynn, James Doherty as Amos Hart, Jasna Ivir as Mama Morton and R. Whitehead as Mary Sunshine, all until 27 August, when CHICAGO will leave the Cambridge Theatre.

The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) continues the celebration of its 25th anniversary by holding its 21st Simply Shakespeare reading of 'The Merry Wives of Windsor.' The participants for this rhinestone-studded cast in a down-home evenin' that will be more colorful than a clown at a rodeo include Christina Applegate, Kenneth Branagh, Faith Hill, Eric idle, Arte Johnson, Eugene Levy, Tim McGraw, William Shatner, Martin Short, Tracey Ullman and the co-chairs of the event Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, all of whom will be reading one of Shakespeare's best known and beloved comedies.

BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO is a new American play by Rajiv Joseph starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut and directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman. Recently Tony nominated for Best Featured Actor (Arian Moayed), Lighting Design (David Lander) and Sound Design (Acme Sound Partners & Cricket S. Myers), the production opened March 31, at the Richard Rogers Theatre. Last night, the production received a special visit from stage and screen favorite Helen Hunt. Nominations for the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be announced at a news conference on Monday, May 2, 2011, at 9:30 AM at the New York Friars Club, 57 East 55th Street, in Manhattan. A continental breakfast will be available at 8:45 AM. Drama Desk and Tony winners Audra McDonald and Liev Schreiber will announce the nominations in the various categories. In addition, there will be remarks by Drama Desk President Isa Goldberg, Drama Desk Awards Executive Producer Robert R. Blume, Nominating Committee Chairperson Barbara Siegel and Randie Levine-Miller, Drama Desk Director of Special Events, who has produced this event at the Friars Club for the past 15 years.
