Joseph Guglielmo Named New General Manager of Cape Playhouse

Producer of the Cape Playhouse, and Chief Executive of the Cape Cod Center for the Arts, Mark Cuddy, today announced that Joseph Guglielmo has been appointed to the newly created position of General Manager of the Playhouse and Center for the Arts campus. He begins full-time on January 20th, and will report directly to Cuddy.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell announce the Pops' 2013-14 season, the third under the direction of Mr. Russell. The season, presented by PNC, celebrates some of the long-admired classics of the Pops while embracing exciting new collaborations. From Broadway to rock, R&B to family concerts, Music Hall will be the home for fans of all musical genres in 2013-14. Highlights of the season include three debuts from stars Michael McDonald, George Takei and Boyz II Men, as well the return of Cincinnati favorites Ann Hampton Callaway and Megan Hilty, who wowed Pops audiences in 2009 and has since nurtured a career from stage to screen as star of the hit NBC TV series Smash.

Megan Hilty lends her powerhouse vocals to the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at Music Hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 24-26, 2014 with a program consisting of Broadway favorites, and songs from Ms. Hilty's new album. The star of the NBC hit television series Smash and Sean Saves the World, and Pops conductor, John Morris Russell, team up for an unforgettable evening of music and excitement. Guitarist Atsumasa Nakabayashi Performs at NYC's Weill Recital Hall Tonight

During the past 32 years Nakabayashi has driven more than 10,000 kilometers and performed for more than 200,000 persons in Japan giving 'Serenade Concerts' in relatively isolated communities shunned by top performers. By these concerts, Nakabayashi has raised more than 15 million yen for the Japanese Red Cross, and has been given a citation of appreciation for this. Nakabayashi provided all of the background music, playing guitar, for a Japanese CD release of Gregory Peck's reading of The Old Man and the Sea. Hawes, Jr., President of the Board of Trustees of the Cape Playhouse and Cape Cod Center for the Arts, today announced that veteran theatre leader, Mark Cuddy, will assume the newly-created position of Playhouse Producer and Chief Executive of the Cape Cod Center for the Arts. Mr. Cuddy has been the Artistic Director of the largest producing theatre in New York State outside of Manhattan, Rochester's Geva Theatre Center, for the past eighteen years. He will continue in that position as he begins with the Playhouse immediately. Mr. Cuddy has led theatres across the country for over thirty-three years, and serves on the Board of Directors of Theatre Communications Group, the nation's service organization for the advancement of professional, not-for-profit theatres.
