Friends In Deed has tapped Tommy Tune?s brand new road show, STEPS IN TIME, for their one-night-only Broadway Benefit Gala that will take place at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College tonight, September 21st at 8:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit Friends In Deed - The Crisis Center for Life-Threatening Illness.

Lynch Theater at John Jay College (899 Tenth Avenue) on Monday, September 21st at 8:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit Friends In Deed - The Crisis Center for Life-Threatening Illness.

Producers Angelo Fraboni and Daryl Roth have announced that the New York premiere of Vigil, written by Morris Panych and directed by Stephen DiMenna, will begin performances Sunday, September 20, at 3pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15 Street, east of Union Square. The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29 at 7pm.

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Sammy, a new musical based on the life of Sammy Davis, Jr. with book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, and additional songs by Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Directed by Keith Glover with choreography by Keith Young and music supervision by Ian Fraser, Sammy will run in the Old Globe Theatre Sept. 19 - Nov. 8. Previews run from Sept. 19 - Oct. 1. Opening night is Oct. 2 at 8:00 p.m.

Broadway In Chicago, with Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment, announced today that Tommy Batchelor, Giuseppe Bausilio and Cesar Corrales will star as ?Billy' in the Chicago production of the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Billy Elliot the Musical. Featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, the production will begin an extended run on March 18, 2010 at Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph St.) before embarking on a multi-city tour.
