The National YoungArts Foundation today announces a dynamic roster of public programs for its 35th anniversary season encompassing a series of new performances, showcases, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary collaborations across a broad range of art forms-from the organization's first resident dance company Complexions Contemporary Ballet; and "Pairings at Ted's," a new dinner and performance  series; to site-specific installations and public discussions with creative leaders such as Daniel Arsham, Franklin Sirmans and Fab 5 Freddy. The season underscores YoungArts' longstanding commitment to supporting the nation's next generation of artists by providing transformative educational and professional opportunities, including master classes, workshops, and mentorship programs with such renowned arts leaders as Carrie Mae Weems, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Frank Gehry, Wynton Marsalis, Jeff Koons, Kerry Washington, Robert Redford, and Placido Domingo, among others.

Past YoungArts award winners help raise awareness of the foundation's support of young artists.

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) congratulates the 50th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, announced today by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The 20 Scholars in the Arts, all 2014 YoungArts Winners, were nominated to The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars by YoungArts, and selected based on academic, civic and artistic achievement. The award, presented on behalf of the President of the United States, is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an artistically talented graduating high school senior. Each year, up to 141 high school seniors are recognized as U.S. Presidential Scholars for their accomplishments.

Last night, a slew of Broadway favorites took part in Twenty-Somethings at The Highline Ballroom, featuring music by up-and-coming songwriters Blake Pfeil, Zoe Sarnak and Drew Overcash. Bring It On's Adrienne Warren and Ryann Redmond, Once's Laura Dreyfuss and recording artist Grace Weber will round out the lineup for Twenty-Somethings at The Highline Ballroom on Monday, August 12th at 8PM. The concert will feature up-and-coming songwriters Blake Pfeil, Zoe Sarnak and Drew Overcash performing new music that range from jazz to pop/rock to contemporary musical theatre.
