The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has announced the 23rd Annual National Puppetry Conference, with the application process now underway for participants. The Conference begins June 5, 2013 and culminates with public performances June 15 & 16. Pre-Conference intensive workshops run June 5 - 7.

The Music Theatre Company (TMTC), Highland Park's Equity theatre, 1850 Green Bay Road, completes its 2012-2013 Musicals in Concert Series with its final production in the series, The Baker's Wife, directed by Dominic Missimi with music direction by Matt Deitchman. The Alley Theatre in Houston has been annually producing a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' novella A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost Story of Christmas since 1988. In 1990, Michael Wilson's adaptation, titled A CHRISTMAS CAROL - A GHOST STORY OF CHRISTMAS, had its premiere at The Alley. With family friendly chills and a thrilling, Wizard of Oz-esque spin on the classic parable of redemption and the true meaning of Christmas, the show continues to delight audiences year after year.

In an Almeida and Headlong co-production, Lyndsey Turner will direct the world premiere of Lucy Kirkwood's Chimerica from 17 May - 29 June 2013, with press night on 23 May. Designs are by Es Devlin with lighting by Tim Lutkin and sound by Carolyn Downing. Casting for Chimerica will be announced shortly.
