TriArts Sharon Playhouse (Sharon, CT), under the leadership of Alice Bemand Executive Director and John Simpkins Artistic Director, is pleased to announce the 2013 Season. The area premiere of Spamalot runs June 26 - July 7 and will be directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner (Broadway's The Book of Mormon and Spamalot). Music Direction is by Eric Kang (TriArts' The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas).

Hershey Felder's THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE Begins 4/19 in Chicago

Eighty-Eight Entertainment follows its current presentation of Hershey Felder's AN AMERICAN STORY, now through April 14th at Chicago's Royal George Theatre, with the Chicago Premiere of THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE, starring internationally-acclaimed storyteller and pianist, Mona Golabek, in a limited engagement at The Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted Street . Previews begin April 19, 2013 and the press opening is Monday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. The production is adapted and directed by Hershey Felder and based on the book The Children of Willesden Lane by Golabek and Lee Cohen. The Chicago premiere follows successful productions in Los Angeles and Boston.

Dances Patrelle presents its Silver Anniversary Celebratory Season, featuring three ballets, What Do We Do About Mother?, Rhapsody in Blue, and Black Forrest Carousel. The Opening Night celebration will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 9-11pm at Orsay Brasserie and Bar, 1057 Lexington Avenue. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Phillip Boykin Joins PORGY AND BESS National Tour

The National Tour of THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS, winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, will star Theatre World Award winner and original Broadway cast member PHILLIP BOYKIN, who will reprise his Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Award-nominated role as Crown. Boykin joins previously announced original Broadway cast members NATHANIEL STAMPLEY as Porgy and ALICIA HALL MORAN as Bess. The national tour, which begins in the late fall of 2013 will travel to more than 20 cities in its first season, including Los Angeles (Ahmanson Theatre), Seattle (5th Avenue Theatre), Dallas (Winspear Opera House), Charlotte, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Des Moines, Tampa, Las Vegas, Cleveland, West Palm Beach, Tempe, St. Paul and Greenville with additional cities to be announced in the coming days.

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed the seventh show selected for its upcoming season. The Tony Award-winning nonprofit will begin its 46th year of smart and adventurous shows with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the hilarious Broadway hit from three-time Obie Award-winner Christopher Durang. Respected director Richard E.T. White returns to the Bay Area to stage this hugely popular show in September.
