As part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York City's premiere eco-friendly theatre festival, the Coal Free Future Project will perform '4 1/2 Hours: Across the Stones of Fire, ' a timely and groundbreaking multimedia theatre production that brings the frontline controversies of the coalfields to the New York City stage, on June 4-13 at the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, Manhattan.

The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premiere eco-friendly/socially-conscious theatre festival, is presenting various special events in addition to the regularly scheduled productions. Events include a preview party, a ladies luncheon, a trivia night, a LGBT night, a climate project presentation plus a green event, poker/karaoke nights, the annual awards ceremony, plus some interesting press panels.

Cross Eyed Bear Productions is pleased to present a one-night benefit staged reading of The Importance of Being Earnest, written by Oscar Wilde, starring cast members of the upcoming The Thyme of the Season, a new Sequel to A Midsummer Night's Dream. The reading will feature the cast in roles they would ordinarily not be cast in, due to age, sex, or race.

J&R Productions' A Black and White Night of Theater will close on March 7 at the Gene Frankel Theater in New York City. The evening will feature two plays directed by Shawn Renfro (Artistic Director of the Apothecary Theatre Company), White Panther and Black Thang, and one dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the American Red Cross to help those affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
