Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival Presents THE SILVER TASSIE Oct 5-10

It was announced today that the line up for Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival 2010 will include a new staging of The Silver Tassie from Druid. Directed by Tony Award winner Garry Hynes the cast of 19 for this production includes Liam Carney, Derbhle Crotty, Aoife Duffin, Clare Dunne, Brian Gleeson, Ruth Hegarty, Aaron Monaghan, Eamon Morrissey and John Olohan.

NY’S Annual Festival of Irish Theatre To Run Sept 7 - Oct 4 in Venues Across the City

1st Irish 2010, New York's only all-Irish theatre festival, runs from September 7 to October 4. Coordinated by the New York-based Origin Theatre Company, the month-long festival features a diverse range of plays by 16 mostly contemporary, living Irish playwrights, in prominent local venues like 59E59 Theaters (two productions), The Irish Repertory Theatre (two productions), The Mint, and PS 122 (two productions), among others.

Moggie will star in the world premiere of Lucy Thurber's play BOTTOM OF THE WORLD directed by Caitriona McLaughlin.

Tony Award-winning director Garry Hynes (THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE) will take part in a public interview as part of an all-day IRISH THEATRE SYMPOSIUM -- a series of conversations featuring renowned Irish playwrights, artistic directors and actors on topics including the arts, education, funding, the creative economy, tourism, new writing and classic themes -- on Saturday, September 25 at Glucksman Ireland House, NYU (1 Washington Mews, on 5th Avenue, between West 8th Street and Washington Square North) in Manhattan.

Atlantic Theater to Feature Works by Auburn, Coen, Pinter and More in 2010-2011 Season

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director, Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) has announced its 25th Anniversary season productions. ATC's DUSK RINGS A BELL Closes 6/20

DUSK RINGS A BELL, starring Kate Walsh ('Private Practice,' 'Grey's Anatomy') and Paul Sparks (Broadway's HEDDA GABLER) began previews Wednesday, May 19; and officially opened Thursday, May 27; it played a limited engagement and will close on Sunday, June 20 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16 Street).
