This weekend the National Tour of American Idiot had a very Canadian feel as the three main 'Idiots' were played by three Canadian boys when Gabriel Antonacci stepped into the role of Johnny (usually played by Van Hughes). BWW was thrilled to go back to the show in order to see three hometown boys rock out together.

The 1st National Tour of American Idiot launched last week in Toronto, with much of the producing and creative team from NYC journeying North for the event. BWW was on hand to bring its readers coverage of all the opening night fun, and also had the chance to speak with Director Michael Mayer and Music Supervisor Tom Kitt. The dynamic duo talk Toronto, changes to the production, and their love of Canadians:
