The Hollywood Reporter writes that WEEDS' Justin Kirk will star in FX's drama pilot TYRANT from HOMELAND producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, as well as SIX FEET UNDER's Craig Wright. The pilot will be directed by David Yates.

Deadline reports that the FX network has ordered a drama series pilot to be titled TYRANT, from Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, executive producers of 'Homeland' and 'Six Feet Under's Craig Wright. Wright will serve as showrunner if the project gets picked up to series. Production on is set to begin in spring of 2013.
