Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media announce today that they have acquired theatrical and all DVD and VOD rights to THE PLAYROOM, the critically acclaimed drama directed by Julia Dyer ('Late Bloomers'), which stars Academy Award-nominee John Hawkes ('Winter's Bone,' 'The Sessions') and Molly Parker (Dexter, The Firm). The film, which premiered in the gala/spotlight section of this year's Tribeca Film Festival, was produced by Stephen Dyer ('Hysteria') and Angie Meyer ('Wuss'), and is slated for a day and date release on theatrical and DVD/VOD February 8th, 2013.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced that 11 live action short films will advance in the voting process for the 85th Academy Awards®. A tie in the nominations balloting resulted in 11 films being shortlisted. One hundred twenty-five pictures had originally qualified in the category.

Tonight is the final performance episode of DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL STARS, and tomorrow, America and the judges will place that glitzy trophy in a contestant's hand. For the first time in the series' history, that hand will undoubtedly be a female's.
In the final one-hour performance show on Monday, each of the couples will compete in two dances. All three couples will perform their favorite routine from the season, as well as a Super-Sized Freestyle. For their Freestyle, they'll be allowed to add extra performers, incorporating all kinds of lifts and tricks to create an out-of-this-world entertaining routine.
