Ars Nova presents THE ARS NOVA REVOLUTION, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to HAMILTON (Broadway, 2015). This epic night of revelry benefiting Ars Nova's artist community, featuring performances by cast members of Hamilton and Freestyle Love Supreme, was held just last night at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). Silicon Valley's monthly public PowerPoint throwdown, SPEECHLESS, will return to the San Francisco Improv Festival 7:00pm, tonight, September 18th.  Sketch comic Frank Caeti (MADtv, Second City) will participate, along with a lineup of to-be-announced surprise guests. (Past shows have included participants with a wide range of backgrounds, from comedian Guy Branum to Google senior software engineer Chet Haase). Fresh off its world-premiere run in Minneapolis, where Star Tribune declared "Akeelah and the Bee triumphs," Children's Theatre Company's new production about an 11-year-old spelling prodigy comes to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. The show is adapted for the stage by veteran playwright Cheryl L. West (Arena's Pullman Porter Blues, Jar the Floor), who partners with celebrated director Charles Randolph-Wright (director of Broadway's Motown and an inaugural resident playwright with Arena Stage, where he premiered his play Love in Afghanistan). Akeelah and the Bee runs November 13-December 27, 2015 in the Kreeger Theater.

In today's special pre-show performance, FINDING NEVERLAND star Matthew Morrison joined the party to freestyle rap based on the word 'Disneyland,' with HAMILTON star/creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. In addition, HAMILTON music director Alex Lacamoire accompanied Morrison as he serenaded Miranda with LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, the show for which Morrison received a Tony nomination. Soho Rep.'s 2015-16 season, announced today, comprises two more ambitious new works-both characterized by irreverent humor, wild theatricality, and extraordinarily inventive language-and Write with Us, a series of open-to-the-public writing workshops led by acclaimed, Soho Rep.-produced playwrights.

The 2nd Annual New York City Drone Film Festival will be held from March 4th through March 6th 2016. The three-day event will feature a dynamic slate of interactive panel discussions, guest speakers, screenings of nominated films and the annual awards ceremony.  The festival will return to the Directors Guild of America Theater for the second year in a row.
