Yesterday UK Theatre gave out awards to leading talents in performing, producing and theatre management throughout the United Kingdom. Sheffield Theatres' SHOW BOAT and FLOWERS FOR MRS HARRIS together took Best Musical Production, while Clare Burt picked up a performance award for the former and Rebecca Trehearn for the latter. Charlene James won Best New Play for CUTTIN' IT, and Paapa Essiedu Best Performance In A Play for the Royal Shakespeare Company's HAMLET.

New Trustees Take to the Stage at Birmingham Hippodrome

Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Trust Ltd has announced the appointment of three new Trustees. VIDAR HJARDENG MBE, IMANDEEP KAUR and HARJINDER MILLINGTON will all join a volunteer board, chaired by John Crabtree.

Over 52,000 Visit International Dance Festival Birmingham 2016

Audiences of over 52,000 enjoyed an impressive range of world-class dance performances and events at International Dance Festival Birmingham 2016 (IDFB 2016), up by over 50% in comparison to the previous festival in 2014.  One of Europe's biggest and most diverse dance festivals, the fifth edition from 1-22 May, produced by DanceXchange in partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome, was a considerable success.
