Celebrated National Theatre and RSC actor, Olivier Award nominee Nicholas Le Prevost, returns to the Arcola to voice the role of Isonzo in an immersive audio experience in a Howard Baker double bill, directed by the RSC's Robyn Winfield-Smith, at the Arcola Theatre, tonight, 25th November to 19th December 2015. Press night is Friday 27 November, 8pm. The title role of Judith will be played by Coronation Street actress Catherine Cusack.

?The Citizens Theatre today announces its complete Spring 2016 Season, including a trilogy of new plays by Zinnie Harris, inspired by the epic Greek tragedy The Oresteia. Today, on Midsummer's Day, the Royal Shakespeare Company is delighted to announce the 14 amateur theatre groups who will play the Mechanicals alongside a company of professional actors in the national tour of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Led by Deputy Artistic Director Erica Whyman, the RSC's creative team have travelled 2360 miles to audition 586 amateur theatre makers in 95 workshops. The Royal Shakespeare Company will host its first semi-integrated British Sign Language performance on 5 January at 7.15pm of Phil Porter's The Christmas Truce. The production is inspired by the incredible true Christmas story from 1914, when soldiers along the Western Front left their trenches on Christmas Eve to meet their enemies in No Man's Land to talk, exchange gifts and play football. Directed by RSC Deputy Artistic Director, Erica Whyman, the show is suitable for ages nine plus and runs until 31 January 2015 in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

As part of the 2014 centenary of The Great War, the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is staging a new play, The Christmas Truce. Inspired by real events exactly 100 years ago, when soldiers along the Western Front left their trenches on Christmas Eve to meet their enemies in No Man's Land to talk, exchange gifts and play football, the play will draw on true stories of soldiers in the Warwickshire Regiment.
