The Old Vic's critically acclaimed production of Alan Ayckbourn's comedy trilogy, directed by Matthew Warchus, ends its strictly limited engagement today, Sunday, July 26 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street).

The award-winning cast of THE NORMAN CONQUESTS; Amelia Bullmore, Jessica Hynes, Stephen Mangan, Ben Miles, Paul Ritter and Amanda Root gathered together at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant (234 West 44th Street) on Wednesday, July 15th to have a 'spot of tea' and bid Broadway farewell. The New York Times reports that producer Jeffrey Richards has announced that the current revival Eugene O'Neill DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS starring two-time Tony Award winner Brian Dennehy, stage and screen star Carla Gugino, and Tony nominee Pablo Schreiber, under the direction of Tony Award Winner Robert Falls will close May 24 at the St. James Theatre after a run of 32 performances.

Kevin Spacey, the artistic director of The Old Vic in London, recently produced the first London revival of Alan Ayckbourn's masterpiece, the comic trilogy, THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, directed by Matthew Warchus. The production is now playing on Broadway, where it has earned the best reviews of any play this season and was recently nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Play and Best Direction of a Play (Matthew Warchus).

The Broadway run of DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS would appear to be ending earlier than planned if Telecharge is any indication, the ticket service is now only selling seats for the production through May 24th, 2009.
