Theatre, film, television and music star Michael McKean will reprise his role as donut shop owner Arthur Przybyszewski in the Broadway premiere of Steppenwolf Theatre Company?s new American play Superior Donuts, by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning ensemble member Tracy Letts, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau. Mr. McKean originated the role during Superior Donuts? sold-out, world premiere at Steppenwolf last summer. Full casting will be announced shortly.
As the weather heats up this summer, Forum Theatre invites folks inside for some cool, dark fun. The multimedia-oriented company closes its fifth season with the DC premiere of dark play or stories for boys. Carlos Murillo?s smash hit from the 2007 Humana Festival explodes the seductive, dangerous allure of the Internet. Directed by Artistic Director Michael Dove, dark play runs July 11 through August 2 at H Street Playhouse in northeast DC.

Superior Donuts makes its Broadway debut direct from its sold-out world premiere at Steppenwolf last summer. Casting for the Broadway engagement will be announced shortly.
