Casting for Music Circus' THE PRODUCERS, which runs July 12-17. THe production will star Tony Award-winner Gary Beach, Bob Amaral and Matt Loehr. Beach returns to the Wells Fargo Pavilion as Roger De Bris, the character he originated on Broadway and in the 2005 film version with Matthew Broderick. Last year, he appeared at Music Circus as King Arthur in Monty Python's 'Spamalot' and the year before as Nathan Detroit in 'Guys and Dolls.'
Casting for the 60th Music Circus season is nearing completion. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale is finalizing the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The company is expected to include Broadway veterans, including Tony Award nominees, television comedians, up-and-coming young actors and plenty of returning Music Circus favorites. Jones-Executive Director) announces its mainstage production of Cole Porter's masterpiece Kiss Me, Kate, returning to the Paper Mill Stage after a 40 year absence. Directed by Paper Mill favorite James Brennan, Kiss Me, Kate won the very first Tony Award for Best Musical in 1949 - and has been delighting audiences ever since. Kiss Me, Kate will run at the Millburn theatre from April 16 through May 18, 2008.
