Peggy King, one of the most popular TV and recording stars of the 1950's, will make her first Los Angeles appearance in more than 30 years on Sunday, July 27 at 7:30 PM at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. Joining her will be acclaimed pianist, harpist and vocalist Corky Hale, leading an all-star quartet including Lymon Medeiros on bass, Jack LeCompte on drums and John Chiodini on guitar.

Dubbed "The greatest white female singer in the world" by none other than Ella Fitzgerald, star vocalist Marilyn Maye took Provincetown audiences by storm in her highly anticipated debut at The Art House three summers ago, and again each year since. She returns to The Art House by popular demand this summer on August 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 at 7:00 PM featuring Billy Stritch on the piano. An earthquake romance. A genre-defying song play. With a score by leading contemporary composer John Adams and a libretto by the late poet June Jordan, I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky was written as an homage to the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Now, 20 years later, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission presents the Southern California premiere, performed by Long Beach Opera. LBO artistic director Andreas Mitisek conducts a concert staging at the Ford Amphitheatre on Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. as part of the Ford's Zev Yaroslavsky Signature Series.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Moldy Fig Productions, LCC present THE SONGS OF CENTRAL AVENUE BREAKDOWN, a one night only concert event. With Book by Kevin Ray, Andrea Lepcio & Dominic Taylor; Music and Lyrics by Kevin Ray; and Additional Story by Suellen Vance, the concert will be directed by Lee Summers and is set for tonight, July 22nd at 8 p.m. at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe, 407 West 42nd Street.

Jaci Davis will debut her new show "Liza and Ella and Babs, Oh My!" at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 2 PM. She will be joined by The Derrik Lewis Trio and presented by Les Michaels Life Is A Cabaret Sundays In Summer Series.
