Due to sold-out houses and enthusiastic reviews, Handcart Ensemble, in cooperation with THEATRES AT 45 BLEECKER STREET, will remount 'Homer's Odyssey: a Retelling by Simon Armitage' as an Off-Broadway (mini contract) production from October 2 to 18.

From September 3 to 19, Handcart Ensemble will present the stage premiere of 'Homer's Odyssey' as adapted by Simon Armitage, one of Britain's most gifted and prolific poets. A series of contemporary verse dialogues, it was commissioned by BBC Radio and performed for Radio 4 in 2004.

Small Pond Entertainment in association with Elana Gartner is pleased to present the world premiere production of Because of Beth, the Open Book 2007 Playwriting Competition finalist drama by Elana Gartner at the Workshop Theater's Mainstage (312 West 36 th St., 4th Floor, between 8th and 9th Ave.). Previews of Because of Beth begin January 9th Clara Barton Green (Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival winner Three Questions) directs.

A forgotten play by Sarah Bernhardt, The Confession, will be given its United States premiere by the Xoregos Performing Company at Wings Theatre in an eleven performance two week run between April 12-21, 2007.
