Stuffed began preview performances on Friday, September 23, 2016 and officially opened on Friday, October 7, 2016.  With additional material by Ashley Austin Morris, and direction by Jackson Gay (These Paper Bullets!), the new play stars the "Lovable Queen of Mean" Lampanelli, alongside Ann Harada (Cinderella, Avenue Q), Zainab Jah (Eclipsed) and Jessica Luck (The Digger). 

 The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2015-2016 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 12, to patrons and industry artists. Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) kicks-off its 33rd season under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Vivienne Benesch and Andrew Borba with the 2010 Tony Award nominee for best new play and Pulitzer Prize finalist, In the Next Room (or the vibrator play) by Sarah Ruhl, and directed by Larissa Kokernot.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the arrival of the Hamptons' newest diva, with the world premiere of THE FORGOTTEN WOMAN, a new play by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Noah Himmelstein. The production starts tomorrow, May 31, and runs through June 19. There is a 'Pay What You Can' performance on May 31 with a limited amount of tickets available at the Box Office starting at 11 am that are based on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Alliance Theatre has announced its a final extension of the smash hit, ETHEL, written by and starring accomplished Atlanta performer Terry Burrell. ETHEL is a glimpse into the magnificent and very complicated life of the legendary stage and film star ETHEL Waters. ETHEL will close the Alliance's Hertz Stage season at the Alliance Theatre. The show was scheduled to close on April 17, and had already extended once to April 24. This is a final extension and the show MUST CLOSE on May 1, 2016.

Black Lab Theatre announced today that Crude, a new dark comedy by Jordan Jaffe, will play a strictly limited world premiere engagement at Theater 511 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street) for an Ars Nova Fling, as part of Black Lab Theatre's new play development program, 'The Pipeline."

Tonight, February 5, TheatreSquared will open performances of FAULT, the newest work by T2 Artistic Director Robert Ford (Look Away, The Spiritualist, My Father's War). Drama Desk Award-winner Josh Hecht directs the world premiere production.

With all the death threats that King received, what was his last night alive like? What did he believe was going to be his ultimate role in the Black rights movement?

The Kennedy Center production of ELEPHANT & PIGGIE'S WE ARE IN A PLAY! launches its first national tour January 11, 2016 as part of the Center's Theater for Young Audiences on Tour series for young people and their families.
