Kenneth Gartman (…Not Like The Other Caveman) Extends at Don’t Tell Mama

Kenneth Gartman returns to Don't Tell Mama on January 29th, February 1st & February 4th with his critically acclaimed cabaret debut show KENNETH GARTMAN (...NOT LIKE THE OTHER CAVEMEN). In his show, Gartman reveals aspects of his life and personality delivering songs that alternate between joyful and introspective with some gospel coloring thrown in for good measure…after all, he did grow up in Texas. The show promises to be a delightful evening of music and comedy that impacts the emotions and the intellect.

Hart House Theater Presents CABARET

Beginning on January 13th, 2012, Hart House Theatre will present this iconic musical. In the midst of the rise of Nazi Germany, the cabaret is an oasis where people go to escape reality and share in some scrap of happiness.

Kim Smith Brings MISFIT to the Laurie Beechman, 2/12

KIM SMITH, the acclaimed international performer called 'all decadence and sly appeal' by Back Stage, will bring his critically-acclaimed concert 'Misfit' back to New York for one night only. 'Misfit' premiered in March 2011 at New York's Laurie Beechman Theatre, and performed at Café Sabarsky and Duane Park Supper Club throughout the year. The next performance of 'Misfit' will take place at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street at 9th Avenue) on Sunday, February 12 at 9:30 PM. Broadway Beat and BWW's Bradshaw Smith Dies at 57

Producer Bradshaw Smith passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 after suffering a sudden stroke. Born on April 14, 1954 in Derby Connecticut, he arrived in New York in the mid-70's and immediately immersed himself in the world of cabaret. He was acclaimed for his groundbreaking cabaret performances, none more popular than his long running Cole Porter Revue at Don't Tell Mama. His cabaret awards include a Backstage Bistro in 1985. In 1987 he received the first MAC Award for Best Male Vocalist.

Seth's Broadway Chatterbox includes interviews and performances by noted Broadway celebrities and is a raw, funny and insightful interview program that really has no equal. Next week, January 19, Seth will welcome Maxwell's FOLLIES' co-stars Terri White and Susan Watson to the mic.

Alice Ripley to Bring DAILY PRACTICE Concerts to NYC, Tonight Through Jan. 30

Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal; Side Show) will play a series of concerts in New York City later this month, it was announced today. "Alice Ripley's Daily Practice," which features Ms. Ripley on vocals and guitar (along with a few surprise guests), will play Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street) on Monday, January 9 and January 30 at 9:15 PM and The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street) on Monday, January 16; Sunday, January 22 and Tuesday, January 24 at 9:30 PM.

Seth's Broadway Chatterbox includes interviews and performances by noted Broadway celebrities and is a raw, funny and insightful interview program that really has no equal. Chatterbox will run regularly at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday nights at 6pm.

Featuring the songs of Sugarland, Coldplay, Dolly Parton, and The Cardigans, just to name a few. Boots not required but most definitely encouraged. Suzanne Carrico, director. 'Judy and Liza Together Again', starring internationally acclaimed entertainers Rick Skye and Tommy Femia, now entering it's second year of performances, has been extended again through the fall season at Don't Tell Mama's (343 West 46th Street) at 8:30pm. Teaming up for an evening of 'Just POW!', these MAC and Bistro Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/daughter team in show biz history in 'a high energy evening with an abundance of laughs!'
