Amazon Studios Launches Original Kids Holiday Specials on Prime Video in US & UK

(AMZN)-Amazon Studios today announced its original kids holiday programming is scheduled to premiere on Friday, November 25 on Prime Video in the US and UK. From California to China, they try on different identities in an effort to find out where they belong. Think Dorothy Gale takes a newer, hipper journey.

Very Special Recordings Announces Two Albums for Cassette Only

A small, boutique Brooklyn-based label puts out cassettes that showcase the stunning diversity of that borough and city's music scene, eventually settling on two releases that radically re-work the ouvres of two of rock music's most beloved (and overplayed?) war horses into refreshingly creative statements. So goes the story of the eighth and ninth releases from Very Special Recordings: “Super Hi-Fi Plays Nirvana” and “Beninghove's Hangmen Play Led Zeppelin.” The pair of releases will, like everything available so far from the fledgling label started by Super Hi-Fi bassist and founder Ezra Gale, be released on cassette-and-download only on December 2.

Bron's The Realm to Produce Sci-Fi Thriller PARALLEL

Bron Media Corp.'s genre label The Realm will produce the sci-fi thriller PARALLEL in association with Creative Wealth Media. The film, to be directed by Isaac Ezban from a screenplay by Scott Blaszak, will begin production mid-November in Vancouver.

Due to popular demand, the Huntington Theatre Company has extended the run of its production of Tiger Style!, by Mike Lew and directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, to November 20. The added performances are Tuesday, November 15 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30pm; Thursday, November 17 at 7:30pm; Friday, November 18 at 8pm; Saturday, November 19 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, November 20 at 2pm. New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography has a NYC show on November 21 at 7pm at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) which will feature stars of stage and screen Susan Lucci, Tate Donovan (who appears in the upcoming film Manchester by the Sea with Matt Damon), Michael Urie, five-time Emmy-winner and comedy legend Alan Zwiebel and Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack, and Dayle Reyfel.
