It's the most wonderful time of year! The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and music director Marcus Printup continue a beloved annual tradition with Big Band Holidays. Featuring soulful, big band versions of classics like a?oeJingle Bells,a?? a?oeJoy to the World,a?? and a?oeBrazilian Sleigh Ride,a?? Big Band Holidays is an uplifting holiday program that plays to sold-out audiences around the country every December.

Jazz all-stars salute one of their own a?" the late piano legend and influential music educator Harold Mabern a?" in Giants of Jazz 22 Honoring Harold Mabern, a concert celebration of his life and craft on Saturday, November 16 at 8 p.m.

Flushing Town Hall's got Hart! On Saturday, October 5, the Antonio Hart Quintet will perform at the historic Queens venue, the first stop on their Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation Jazz Touring Network tour. Recognized as one of the most talented instrumentalists of his generation, Hart will perform on saxophone, joined by Duane Eubanks on trumpet, Miki Yamanaka on piano, Alex Ayala on bass, and Jerome Gillespie II on drums.

Winner of six Grammy and three Latin Grammy Awards, Cuban pianist, composer and arranger, Chucho Valdés, is the most influential figure in modern Afro-Cuban jazz.  Now, he will be performing tracks from his 2018 release Jazz Batá 2, inspired by his seminal record Jazz Batá, at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, October 19 at 8pm.

Intimate, elegant, cheeky and mischievous as befits its over 21 audience, Circus Center Cabaret roars back to the stage with the 5th anniversary season of its critically acclaimed distillation of top-drawer circus and variety artists, an atmosphere of delightful indulgence, and live music performed by Cabaret Chanteuse Madame Leanne Borghesi and the Roger Glenn Trio. Continuing its season-long dedication to including live music in its programming, The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) presents a world premiere from the collaborative forces of Ayodele Casel and Arturo O'Farrill. The Hoofer Award-winning tap dancer and the six-time Grammy-winning musician come together to pay tribute to their mutual roots in Afro-Latin culture at The Joyce Theater from September 24-29.

On Monday, August 26 at 7:00pm, the Harlem School of the Arts (HSA), in partnership with The National Jazz Museum in Harlem (NJMH), and the Catskill Jazz Factory (CJF) will present a special concert performance of The Spirit of Harlem, a celebratory homage to the most iconic moments of Harlem's musical past, and the jazz renaissance currently taking place in New York City. Free to the public, the concert will be held at the HSA Theater, located at 649 St. Nicholas Avenue.

Fall gets festive at Flushing Town Hall! The global arts venue will present over 30 programs to entertain audiences of all ages and backgrounds this September through December. From a Diwali dance party to a marionette Nutcracker, there will be something for everyone to celebrate this season, including Flushing Town Hall's first-ever presentation of six NEA Jazz Masters together on stage for a once-in-a-lifetime concert.
