HAIR Raises Over 15k For Fresh Air Fund With Love Out Loud Auctions

The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical is pleased to announce the success of their partnership with Clear Channel New York to create 'Love Out Loud: A Donation of LOVE from HAIR on Broadway,' a series of fundraising auctions to benefit The Fresh Air Fund that have raised over $15,000.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), the non-profit that brings first-rate Broadway training to aspiring performers throughout the country, brings you this clip of the development of a real Broadway baby, Neve Juday, daughter of an Atlanta faculty member. STAGE TUBE: Broadway Dreams Foundation Auditions in Philadelphia

This August, from the 18th through the 21st, the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will host its Summer Performing Arts Intensive in Philadelphia! During the intensive, attendees will receive first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal performance daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by savvy Broadway veterans who will share their invaluable insider knowledge on the skills needed to make it in show business. Students will also learn how to improve their audition skills (song selections and cold readings) and attend classes geared toward college and career planning (headshots and resumes). At week's end, all participants will have the opportunity to perform alongside their Broadway idols in a 'one night only' concert event. Tony-winner Alice Ripley (Next To Normal) will participate as the guest teacher for the intensive.

STAGE TUBE: American Idol Alumni Bid Farewell to Simon Cowell

Last night, May 26, Lee Dewyze was crowned the newest American Idol by Idol fans across the country. The evening also marked Simon Cowell's last appearance as head judge on the show he made famous. In a special tribute, Idol alumni, including now-stage stars Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Constantine Maroulis, Fantasia and Taylor Hicks, reunited to bid farewell to their sometimes friend and sometimes foe in song.

DeWyze was consistent throughout the season, giving great performance week after week and really honing his skills. DeWyze grew an incredible amount throughout the season and was able to turn himself into an 'American Idol.'

In thanks, on Sunday May 23, Mayor Bloomberg honored the company with a celebration at Gracie Mansion.

'IDOL' WATCH: The Final 2

It's down to two. Soon, American will know who will be the season nine 'American Idol.' Each contestant performed three times tonight: a song of their choice, a song chosen by 'Idol' producer Simon Fuller, and the song each would release as a single if they were to be crowned th winner tomorrow night. Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox are both fantastic singers. Either one could win. So, tonight's performance have the potential to make a huge impact on who the audience votes for to win tomorrow night.

HAIR Offers Line Of Eco-Friendly Merch; Times Square Billboard Tote Now Available

Producers of the Tony Award-winning musical HAIR announced today that the show has captured its Times Square billboard and repurposed it to create a limited edition tote bag, rather than discarding the large advertisement, made of vinyl. This collector's item will be available only at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) beginning today (Tuesday, May 25).
