Pigs fly! For one-night only. A 2017 planned revival of Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly was brought to life at an Actor's Fund benefit concert Monday night!

FABULOUS NEWS, The Actors Fund will present a one-night benefit concert of When Pigs Fly, featuring the cast from the recently canceled production. I went to the major press event for the show and managed to secure some fab interview moments with the entire cast and some of the creatives.

The Muny announced today that Grammy Award-winner Nathan Lee Graham will play the title role in The Wiz. Starring alongside Graham will be Jared Grimes as Scarecrow, Mykal Kilgore as Lion and James T. Lane as Tinman. In its first Muny staging in 36 years, The Wiz is the second production of the historic outdoor theatre's centennial season. The Wiz is directed by Denis Jones and choreographed by Camille A. Brown with music direction by Darryl Archibald. The Wiz is proudly sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors.

Initial casting has been announced for The Muny's production of THE WIZ - part of their 100th season. Grammy Award winner Nathan Lee Graham will star as The Wizard, Jared Grimes will portray the scarecrow, Mykal Kilgore will ring to life the Lion, and James T. Lane will ease on down the road as the Tinman.

Producer Neal Rubinstein announced today that the Broadway-aimed new musical DANGEROUS will receive upcoming presentations this spring. On Monday, March 19, the cast of DANGEROUS will perform the songs of DANGEROUS in concert at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) at 8pm.

The Actors Fund announced today a one night benefit concert of last year's planned off-Broadway revival of When Pigs Fly, that never actually got to play for an audience. The concert, which will reunite the cast members and creative team for one night only, is set for Monday, April 9th.

After a series of highly successful readings in the fall, Fat Kid Rules LLC is proud to announce three more developmental presentations of the new Broadway bound musical Fat Kid Rules the World with book by Anderson Cook (Pop Punk High, The Disembodied Hand that fisted Everyone to Death) and music by Amanda D'Archangelis (The Disembodied Hand that fisted Everyone to Death, Single Rider) and Ben Lapidus (Pop Punk High). One of the country's most prestigious cultural honors, The Helen Hayes Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in professional theatre throughout the Washington metropolitan area. The National Theatre's Helen Hayes Gallery set the scene for the announcement of nominees in 47 categories for artistic excellence, and the theatre companies eligible for the 2017 John Aniello Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company.
