Stephen Lynch is king of the mocking lyric wrapped in a sweet, angelic voice. His unique blend of musical-based comedy has earned him fiercely loyal fans around the world who live to experience his sold-out live shows. 'COMEDY CENTRAL Live Starring Stephen Lynch: The 3 Balloons Tour' kicks off February 27 at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston and travels to more than 25 markets nationwide and, in a first for COMEDY CENTRAL, will continue internationally to London, Ireland, Sweden, Holland with additional shows to be announced (see list at the end of this release). The tour is repped by the Agency For The Performing Arts (APA) and sponsored domestically by Kia Motors America (KMA).

COMEDY CENTRAL recently signed a multi-platform deal with Lynch that encompasses a major-market U.S. stand-up tour and COMEDY CENTRAL Live's first international stand-up tour. The deal also includes a one-hour stand-up special with Lynch that will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL before being released, unedited, on DVD via COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment.

Robert Morton will executive produce the 30-minute 'Oscar's Red Carpet 2009' show for the 81st Academy Awards?, producer Laurence Mark and executive producer Bill Condon announced today. The show will air on the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PT, immediately preceding the Oscar? telecast. This will be Morton's first stint as executive producer for the Oscar pre-show.

Comedy Central Releases 'A Colbert Christmas' Album 11/25

COMEDY CENTRAL Records releases songs from 'A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!' as a digital album exclusively on iTunes on Tuesday, November 25. A portion of the proceeds from the digital album will benefit the charity Feeding America (formerly knows as America's Second Harvest).
The digital release features guest artists Elvis Costello, Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend, Willie Nelson and Jon Stewart. The release contains 9 songs featured in the one-hour special, plus the bonus track 'Cold Cold Christmas' that is also included on the DVD of 'A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All.'
