Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and TriStan Wilson, Managing Director, presents the BSC Musical Theatre Lab (William Finn Artistic Producer) world premiere production of Southern Comfort, a new musical with book and lyrics by Dan Collins and music by Julianne Wick Davis, directed by Thomas Caruso (Associate Director of Broadway's Matilda). Direct from its sold-out World Premiere at Barrington Stage Company, Dr. Ruth, All The Way will be directed by Julianne Boyd co-founder and Artistic Director of Barrington Stage Company (BSC). TheaterWorks' production will be a revised version of BSC's production starring stage, film and television actress Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman on That 70's Show). Dr. Ruth, All the Way will run May 31st through July 7th, 2013.

WAM Theatre has announced the Northeast Regional Premiere of Emilie: La Marquise Du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight by Lauren Gunderson as its fall production. The production will run November 7-24 at Barrington Stage Company's St. Germain Stage at 36 Linden Street in Pittsfield. Auditions will be held May 13 at Barrington Stage Mainstage from 4-9pm.

The Active Theater announced today that it will award The Active Arts Award to Terry Schreiber, who founded T. Schreiber Studio in 1969, at its 2013 Spring Benefit on April 22, 2013 at 2nd Floor on Clinton (67 Clinton Street, between Rivington and Stanton).

On HART OF DIXIE's upcoming episode, titled 'Where I Lead Me' with the sudden nuptials of Wanda (guest star Mallory Moye) and Tom (guest star Ross Philips) in BlueBell, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) agrees to be maid of honor, which entails the difficult job of watching Wanda's crafty mother.

Voting is now underway for Boston and continues until December 31, 2012. Winners will be announced in early January.

T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre (Terry Schreiber and Peter Jensen, Co-Artistic Directors) announced today that the studio will launch the TSS Young Adult Conservatory for Theatre and Film in January 2013.
