On Saturday, March 12th, over 800 kindergarten and first grade students will come together with their local YOLA orchestras - YOLA EXPO Center Youth Orchestra from South L.A. and YOLA at HOLA (Heart of Los Angeles) from the Rampart District - to perform two free concerts at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown L.A.

The LA Phil and NCM Fathom, the entertainment division of National CineMedia, and Cineplex Entertainment announced today an agreement to present a series of three programs exclusively in select movie theaters across the U.S. and Canada, beginning in January and continuing into June of 2011.

Ten Los Angeles Philharmonic concerts from the current Hollywood Bowl Summer 2010 season, including three led by Gustavo Dudamel - his first Bowl subscription concerts as Music Director - will be broadcast on Classical KUSC beginning Saturday, August 7th. This is the fourth year of the orchestra's summer partnership with Los Angeles' listener-sponsored classical music radio station.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic launches its 2010 summer classical concert season with a performance led by Grant Gershon, music director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), Tuesday, July 6, at 8 p.m. The LAMC, where Gershon celebrates his 10th year as music director, is also on the program, along with three soloists: sopranos Jessica Rivera and Christine Brandes and mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor. The program features two settings of the 'Gloria' - by both Vivaldi and Poulenc - as well as Haydn's 'Te Deum' and Handel's 'Hallelujah' Chorus with fireworks.
