The tour of the current smash hit Broadway production of WEST SIDE STORY is coming to PlayhouseSquare May 3 through 15.

The AUDELCO and Obie Award-winning Billie Holiday Theatre continues its 39th season with the world premiere of The Legend of Buster Neal, written and directed by Jackie Alexander. The new play will close March 27 at the 200-seat Billie Holiday Theatre, Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn.

Actress/Director Phylicia Rashad made her Los Angeles directorial debut with the Ebony Repertory Theatre's production of Lorraine Hansberry's classic play A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Ebony Repertory Theatre (ERT) is proud to return this groundbreaking play to Los Angeles for its first fully-staged production in over twenty years. Preview performances began on March 23, 2011, Nate Holden Performing Arts Center with Opening Night on Friday, March 25th. The play runs through April 17, 2011 (4718 W. Washington Blvd.) in Los Angeles.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) announced today that tickets are now on sale for TWIST - An American Musical, based on Charles Dickens' classic Oliver Twist.

On Friday, March 4, the Billie Holiday Theatre opened world-premiere play The Legend of Buster Neal to a sold-out house. In addition to cast Charles Anthony Burks, Sidiki Fofana, Stephen Hill, Dennis Johnson, Patrick Mitchell, and Nathan Purdee, in attendance were playwright Jackie Alexander, Emmy Award-winning actor Robert S. Woods (One Life to Live), Sean Ringgold (One Life to Live), Marja Harmon (The Lion King, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Aida), playwright/actor Layon Gray (creator of Black Angels Over Tuskegee), Delano Barbosa (Black Angels Over Tuskegee), and actors Jamil A.C. Mangan and Warner Miller.

According to Ew.com, Broadway veterans Alfred Molina, Terrence Howard, and Corey Stoll will star in 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' when the show returns to television on April 11. THe show is broadcast on Monadys at 9PM on NBC.

WEST SIDE STORY will open at Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday February 15 for a two-week run through Sunday, February 27. Tony Award-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction has been recreated for the tour by David Saint, the Associate Director on Broadway. The original Jerome Robbins choreography is reproduced by Tony Award nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz, The Life).
