New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) announced today that tickets are now on sale for HADESTOWN, written by celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and developed with and directed by the inventive two-time OBIE award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (Three Pianos; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) transforms Mitchell's 'phenomenal concept album' (Rolling Stone) into a bold new work for the stage.

Lorraine Hansberry's groundbreaking play, the first on Broadway written by a Black woman, will visit the Belgrade Theatre from Tues 22 - Sat 26 March in a new production directed by Eclipse Theatre's Dawn Walton. This intense family drama, written on the cusp of the civil rights era, sees the Younger family await the arrival of a cheque for a life changing $10,000. Driven to conflict as they encounter issues of inequality, housing and lack of opportunity that continue to resonate today, the play acts as a stark warning to anyone who measures happiness and personal worth in capital gain.

Philadelphia Young Playwrights once again gives 18 local high school students a chance to be heard as the 2016 Young Voices Monologue Festival winners will debut their work March 10-19 at the city's new home for new work, The Drake, 1512 Spruce Street. The 2015-16 season at City Theatre continues with one of the hottest plays in the country this year. Sex with Strangers, by Laura Eason (Netflix's "House of Cards"), runs on the Mainstage, March 12 - April 3, 2016. It is directed by Christian Parker.

There's a new musical theatre partnership on the West Coast. 3D Theatricals of Orange County and New Musicals Inc. of North Hollywood are proud to announce their new co-presented Concert Reading Series for New Musicals. The inaugural season will consist of readings of three new musicals, presented at the 3D Theatricals Rehearsal Hall in Anaheim and at the Colony Theatre in Burbank, from March through June of 2016.

Regarded as one of Neil Simon's finest plays, BROADWAY BOUND is semi-autobiographical of its author and is filled with laughter, tears, and plenty of insight. The production comes to The Duluth Playhouse tonight, February 18, through February 28, 2016.
