Gavin Creel is set to perform his new cabaret, Back to New York at Birdland on Mondays, November 1, 8, and 15 at 7pm. Creel is returning from appearing in the West End production of Hair after appearing in the Broadway production last year. Creel has also appeared on Broadway in Thorougly Modern Millie.

On Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 8:00 PM, Musica Sacra opens its 46th season with a program featuring three great Baroque masters. The concert opens with Vanitas Vanitatum (Vanity of Vanities) by the revered Italian Baroque composer, Giacomo Carissimi.

Musica Sacra is pleased to announce its 2010-2011 season of four programs featuring the acclaimed Musica Sacra Chorus and Orchestra and a stellar cast of internationally acclaimed soloists under the leadership of Music Director Kent Tritle.

On Sunday, October 17th at 2pm, the French-based Zodiac Trio will perform on the Schneider Series at the New School School's Tishman Auditorium, making it the first clarinet-violin-piano ensemble to be presented by the series in its 54-year history.

Combining complex rhythms, tones and key signatures with a West Coast Cool sound, Dave Brubeck has long been proof that creative and popular jazz can be synonymous. A favorite with critics and fans alike, Brubeck has been redefining jazz music for over 50 years, since his days with General Patton's Army Band during WWII. He is credited as a force in rebirth of jazz in the 1950s and '60s, taking the popular Dave Brubeck Quartet on tour with greats such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz, and composing standards such as 'Take Five,' now featured in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and 'Blue Rondo A La Turk.'

Blurring the boundaries of classical music, PROJECT Trio is a passionate, high-energy chamber music ensemble comprised of three virtuosic composer/performers from Brooklyn, New York. Blending their classical training with an eclectic taste in musical styles, PROJECT Trio captivates audiences of all ages with genre-bending performances that combine classical repertoire with elements of hip-hop and popular music.

Laura Woyasz and Stephanie Toms, members of the Broadway cast of "Wicked," will be the opening act at The Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine's 2010 What A Wonderful World Award to be held at Beth Israel Medical Center on Monday, September 20, 2010.
