Bogart's SITI Kicks Off Season with RADIO MACBETH & WAR OF THE WORLDS Double Bill in Oct.

Acclaimed director Anne Bogart and her seven-time Obie winning SITI Company are pleased to present Radio Macbeth to be performed October 5-16 for a two-week run after only three performances at the Miller Theater in July 2009. The weekend performances (October 8, 9, 15 and 16) feature a special double bill which includes SITI's first radio play, War of the Worlds, followed by Radio Macbeth allowing New York audiences the opportunity to see both shows performed back to back for the first time ever. SITI Company's season will take place at Dance Theater Workshop.

Tony nominated Best Play TIME STANDS STILL will re-open on Thursday, October 7 at the Cort Theatre. The play is written by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies and is directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan.

COMPULSION Opens at Berkeley Rep, 9/16-10/31

Even as its shows reach New York and London, Berkeley Repertory Theatre begins another season of fearless theatre here at home: Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Mandy Patinkin stars in the world-premiere production of Compulsion on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage. Acclaimed director Oskar Eustis returns to the Bay Area with Rinne Groff's latest play, a kaleidoscopic collision of history and culture that combines stellar acting with marvelous marionettes. Compulsion, a world-premiere co-production from Berkeley Rep, The Public Theater, and Yale Repertory Theatre, begins previews on September 13, opens September 16, and closes October 31.

Rehearsals are now underway for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) New York premiere of Edward Albee's ME, MYSELF & I, a new play by the three-time Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony Award winner (A Delicate Balance; Seascape; Three Tall Women; Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; The Goat or, Who Is Sylvia?). The production opens the theater company's 40th Anniversary Season, in which Mr. Albee will be making his Playwrights Horizons debut. The play is Mr. Albee's 30th.

Albee Talks ME, MYSELF & I and 5 Decades in the Theatre

He is one of the most admired and accomplished playwrites of all time. Edward Albee has given the theater canon such classics as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Zoo Story, A Delicate Balance, Seascape, The Goat or, and Three Tall Women. Now, more than 5 decades after the premiere of The Zoo Story, which put a 30 year-old Albee on the map, the playwright is still at it, with his latest (and 30th play), Me, Myself & I, opening at Playwrights Horizons on September 12, 2010. Previews began last night, August 24.
