To kick off its 21st Season and celebrate the world of William Shakespeare, Frog & Peach Theatre Company will host a Benefit Gala NATURAL MAGIC on Thursday, September 24 at 7pm at the Greenwich House Music School (46 Barrow Street) to raise funds for the company (which includes free and subsidized tickets for NYC public school students).

Norm MacDonald is the latest comic to take on the iconic role of KFC's spokesman Colonel Sanders. The comedian takes over the role from fellow SNL alum Darrell Hammond.

On the heels of the widely lauded May ad campaign, Kentucky Fried Chicken continues to weave Colonel Sanders into the fabric of American pop culture with its latest advertising spots featuring "Last Comic Standing" judge and "Saturday Night Live" veteran Norm Macdonald as its iconic, ribbon-tied founder. The "Real" Colonel Sanders is now back to sell the world's greatest chicken.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce that FIVE PRESIDENTS, the new play by Emmy Award-winning writer Rick Cleveland (Six Feet Under, The West Wing, and House of Cards), will extend its run again for an additional week due to popular demand. The production will now run through July 26. Matinees at 2 pm on Wednesdays and Sundays. Special matinee on Saturday, July 25 at 2 pm. There will be no evening performance on July 25. Instead there will be a Comedy Club night with Darrell Hammond at 8 pm.

Based on Boris Pasternak's Nobel Prize-winning 20th-century epic Russian masterpiece, Doctor Zhivago is directed by Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys), with a book by Michael Weller (Ragtime), music byLucy Simon (The Secret Garden), lyrics by Michael Korie (Grey Gardens) and Amy Powers (Ella Enchanted), and choreography by Kelly Devine (Rocky). The Hamptons theatre scene will be getting the Summer started early this year as Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theatre will be holding their Second Annual New Works Festival. Being held this weekend, April 24th through 26th, preparations are in full swing for some exciting new works to be displayed in a theme of 'Rediscovery'. Artistic Director Scott Schwartz took time to speak with me today about the festival.

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its season opener, the world-premiere musical Come from Away, featuring book, music and lyrics by the Canadian husband-and-wife team Irene Sankoff and David Hein (My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding), directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley. A co-production with Seattle Repertory Theatre, Come from Away will run May 29 - July 5 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre (press opening Thursday, June 11).

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man, joining celebrated director Jessica Stone, who recently made her Globe debut with Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Shaw's romantic comedy, which continues the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration, will run May 9 - June 14, 2015 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run May 9 through 13. Opening night is Thursday, May 14 at 8:00 p.m.
