Two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway legend Patti LuPone joins with opera diva Patricia Racette for the new Los Angeles Opera production of THE GHOSTS OF VERSAILLES in early 2015 according to a new announcement.
Ghostlight Records will release the original cast recording of the hit new musical comedy A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, currently running at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. The album - which will be produced by Joel Moss withKurt Deutsch - was recorded yesterday, January 13 with for a release later this season. A new Sh-K-Boom listing has revealed that the label will release a cast album for the hit Broadway musical, starring Jefferson Mays and Bryce Pinkham. As of now, no official release date has been announced.
Dominating the nominations in the musical category is the current Broadway sensation 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,' which made its world premiere in February 2013 at San Diego's The Old Globe (a co-production with Hartford Stage). The musical racked up 11 nominations, including nods for New Musical, its versatile star Jefferson Mays (a UC San Diego alumnus) and its director Darko Tresnjak (former co-artistic director and Shakespeare Festival director at The Old Globe).

Williamstown Theatre Festival has named Mandy Greenfield as its new Artistic Director, the Festival's Board Chair Matt Harris announced today. Greenfield, who is currently Artistic Producer at Manhattan Theatre Club, succeeds Jenny Gersten beginning September 2014. As previously announced, Gersten departs Williamstown Theatre Festival in January 2014 to become Executive Director of Friends of the Highline. Gersten will program the upcoming 2014 season, and Williamstown Theatre Festival Producer Stephen Kaus will oversee the season. Greenfield's tenure as Artistic Director will begin immediately following the 2014 season, the Festival's 60th.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Hartford Stage will postpone next spring's Love and Other Fables and instead present the winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang, according to Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak.

La MaMa will celebrate their 2013 season of performances with a gala honoring two pillars of arts journalism: former Village Voice critic Michael Feingold, and publisher Patsy Tarr of 2wice. Throughout their long careers, these two individuals have carved out a voice for the arts, championing countless artists working across platforms.
