Pressure on the United Nations to take action to fight cholera in Haiti reached a tipping point today thanks to a grassroots activism campaign lead by the U.S.-based organization RYOT and the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti.

The Grammy Award-winning musician, actor, and author Common, and Danny Glover, award-winning actor, producer and humanitarian, have been added to the line up of the star-studded Bring Leonard Peltier Home 2012 concert, set for Friday, December 14, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

This Thanksgiving, ENCORE LOVE will serve up several helpings of blockbuster and fan favorite films with a 'Tuneful Thanksgiving Marathon' featuring the film adaptations of such Broadway hits as Evita, Oklahoma!, Bye Bye Birdie, Rent and more, on Thanksgiving Day.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Conservatory Director Melissa Smithannounced today that the A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program will present Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, taking audiences back in time, capturing the edginess and excitement of the roaring '20s. With a book, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, the production is directed by Mark Rucker and will play a limited four show engagement. Performances are: December 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m.; December 15 at 2 & 7:30 p.m. All performances take place at A.C.T.'s Costume Shop (1117 Market Street, San Francisco). USA is hosting a special, interactive experience on Zeebox to provide thought-provoking enhanced content during the special airing of The Color Purple, on Saturday, November 17 at 8/7c. During the movie, people on Zeebox can find facts and resources tied to issues addressed in the film such as racism, violence against women and civil rights. Vital Theatre Company has announced that its long-running production of Pinkalicious, The Musical will play its final performance at the Culture Project (formerly Bleecker St Theatre) on Sunday, November 11th at noon. The production will continue performances at the new Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts in Rahway, New Jersey on November 17th at 1 pm and November 18th at 11 am, then will appear on tour in South Orange, NJ; Easton, PA; Lakewood, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Sandusky, OH; and New Albany, OH before it will return to its new home at the Riverside Theatre in February of 2013.

On March 8, 2013, one of Broadway's favorite leading men, Ryan Silverman, will appear with The New York Pops for Come Fly With Me: The Songs of Sammy Cahn. Mr. Silverman has previously appeared in The Phantom of the Opera (Raoul), Cry-Baby (Cry-Baby u/s), Music in the Air (Karl) at New York City Center's Encores!, and The Most Happy Fella (Al) at New York City Opera. Mr. Silverman replaces Seth MacFarlane, who is unavailable to perform due to a scheduling conflict. Mr. Silverman joins previously announced guest artist Megan Hilty, Broadway singer and star of the television show Smash.
