The national touring production of MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, kicked off on October 16, 2011 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN (203 South Main Street) where it will play through October 23. Check out highlights from the tour below!

Dancap Productions announced their 2012 Season in style Monday morning, with Harold Prince as a surprise guest to discuss 'Prince of Broadway' the new musical being developed about his life and career. 'Prince' will premiere next summer as part of Dancap's 2012 Season. Also announced as part of the new season were American Idiot, Million Dollar Quartet, Beauty and the Beast, Shrek, West Side Story and A Christmas Story. MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony® Award Winner for Best Musical, and the show that's currently blowing the roof off Broadway, will play a limited engagement at Atlanta's Fox Theatre from January 31-February 5, as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2011-12 season!

According to the Toronto Star, Toronto's Dancap Productions has just announced the line-up for 2012. Included in the upcoming season are In the Heights (February 7-19), Shrek the Musical (March 20-April 1), West Side Story (May 8-June 3), Beauty and the Beast (July 3-22), Million Dollar Quartet (July 20-29), and Prince of Broadway (August 2012)

PRINCE OF BROADWAY, a new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince, is in development now, aiming for a Toronto production in the summer of 2012, prior to opening on Broadway that fall. According to the Toronto Star, the production will feature a wide variety of material, including music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Stephen Sondheim..

The national tour of AMERICAN IDIOT kicks off in Toronto, ON at the Toronto Centre for the Arts presented by Dancap Productions Inc, and venues for the tour include: The Opera House in Detroit, MI; Opera House in Boston, MA; Memorial Auditorium in Raleigh, NC; Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN; Eisenhower Auditorium in State College, PA; Peabody Opera House in St. Louis, MO; Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, CA; Gammage Auditorium in Tempe, AZ; AT&T PAC in Dallas, TX; Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa, CA; Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA. According to the Toronto Star, the tour will feature Jake Epstein as Will and Talia Aaron and Gabriel Antonacci in the ensemble.

Factory will be the exclusive home entertainment distributor to release MEMPHIS featuring the original Broadway cast, on Blu-rayTM, DVD and for digital download. This announcement was made by Shout! Randolph St.) on Nov. 22, 2011 for a limited two-week engagement! Individual tickets for MEMPHIS go on sale Sunday, Sep. 18, 2011 at 10 a.m.

The National Tour of Come Fly Away is currently wowing audiences in Toronto, and BWW was invited to attend a special dance class that the cast participate in to keep them in shape for the show. We are thrilled to bring you photos from the event that allow a brief glimpse into what these dancers go through in order to be able to stay at the top of their game and perform in such a physically demanding show every night.

Come Fly Away opened in Toronto on Thursday August 18th and BWW was on hand to capture exclusive photos of the event. The show features many of the dancers who were part of the Broadway company, and was a feast for the eyes and ears. We are thrilled to bring you coverage of the live performance as well as before and after shots featuring Dancap President Aubrey Dan and some of the finalists from So You Think You Can Dance Canada.

Come Fly Away had its opening night in Toronto on Thursday August 18th, and audiences have fallen in love with the beautiful and unique show. Toronto is the only Canadian stop on the new National Tour, and BWW was able to sit down and speak with one of the few Canadian cast members about what the experience has been like so far, and about bringing the show home to Canadian soil.

The 2010 Tony Award-winning Best Musical MEMPHIS announced casting today for the U.S. national tour of the critically acclaimed production. The national tour of MEMPHIS will star Bryan Fenkart (Huey) and Felicia Boswell (Felicia) with Quentin Earl Darrington (Delray), Rhett George (Gator), Julie Johnson (Mama), Will Mann (Bobby), and William Parry (Mr. Simmons).
