2016 Top Picks for Connecticut Theater

As a new year begins, Connecticut's professional theater scene offers many exciting viewing opportunities including premieres of new shows as well as some old some old favorites. What shows am I most looking forward to? Here are some tops picks for 2016:

Cincinnati Playhouse to Present LOW DOWN DIRTY BLUES

"The setting is a nameless South Side Chicago blues club," said Myler, who'll direct the production for the Playhouse. "It's Saturday night, into Sunday morning. The linking dialogue is from actual blues artists that we interviewed, but it's the music that drives the piece."

Single Tickets to Cincinnati Playhouse's 2015-16 Season on Sale 8/3

Single tickets for all of Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2015-16 season productions will go on sale Monday, Aug. 3. This includes tickets for the Playhouse's beloved annual holiday classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL, presented by U.S. Bank, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

The Colorado Theatre Guild Announces Nominees for the Upcoming Henry Awards

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 9th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. The awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale beginning July 1 by phone only through the Arvada Center Box Office by calling 720-898-7200.
