The Ensemble Studio Theatre and Going to the River have lined up some of the most gifted women playwrights of color - some new, some established - for a three-week presentation of nine short, under 10-minute plays in return of the series The River Crosses Rivers, a three-week festival of short plays by women of color, previewing September 14 for an opening September 17 (runs through October 2) at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street.

Rachel Reiner Productions is proud to present the World Premiere of Victor L. Cahn's Dally With The Devil, directed by Eric Parness. Dally With The Devil will begin performances on Saturday, September 10 and will open on September 14 running thru October 8, 2011 at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). James Earl Jones, Roger Robinson and Robert Joy will all perform in the Ensemble Studio Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's First Light 2011 series of new plays about science and technology now through April 23 at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street.

Ching Valdes-Aran and Ali Ewoldt are set to star in Diverse City Theater's The Pearl Project. Performances run July 6-25 at the Clurman Theatre, and will feature full-length plays by Eric Gamalinda and Jorshinelle Taleon-Sonza and two one-acts, by Kristine M. Reyes. Valdes-Aran will star in Gamalinda's Resurrection, and Ewoldt in Reyes' Quarter Century Baby. Additional casting and creative teams are yet to be announced.

This year is no exception with 886 one-act scripts totaling 21,264 pages which were read by 17 readers over 5 months. From that, Ensemble Studio Theatre artistic director William Carden selected 10 plays this spring to be presented on two separate programs for the Ensemble Studio Theatre's 2010 Marathon of One-Act Plays May 24 through June 26.
