Culture Project announced today its 18th anniversary charity auction. Featuring donations from visual artist Peter Tunney, actress/director Cynthia Nixon and composer Sting, the auction is now up and ready for bids on Charity Buzz. The auction will be taking place live online on the Charity Buzz website until August 26, 2014. Pictures and estimated values for various for sale items can be seen on the site.

Bad Hindu in association with East 4th Street and Off-Chance Productions has announced Rise and Shine [I Thought I Was White], written and performed by Anil Kumar for a limited engagement at the Let Live Theatre @ The Actors Company. Directed by Reena Dutt, Rise and Shine will play one preview performance on Friday, September 12 at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, September 13 at 8pm. The show will run through October 12 only.

HelikonRep announced that it will produce the world premiere of THE SUN EXPERIMENT, by NYTW Emerging Playwright of Color CATHERINE YU, at the 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival. Inspired by Shakespeare's Twelfth Nightand named for 20th century philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein's theory on the rotation of the sun, THE SUN EXPERIMENT will be directed by HelikonRep Artistic Director and Drama League Directing FellowELENA HEYMAN.

Georganne Aldrich Heller will present Laoisa Sexton's raw, visceral and provocative new play, THE LAST DAYS OF CLEOPATRA, a pitch black comedy set in Dublin, August 20th through September 7th at Urban Stages, 259 West 30th Street in Manhattan. New Repertory Theatre announces the final show of the 30th Anniversary Season, the Next Rep World Premiere: SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY by Ronan Noone, June 6 through June 21, 2015 at the Boston University Theatre, Lane-Comley Studio 210. SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY is co-presented with Boston Center for American Performance (BCAP).

Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) will present the World Premiere of BASTARDS OF STRINDBERG. This evening of short works inspired by Strindberg's iconic Miss Julie is written by four exciting contemporary playwrights: Dominique Morisseau (Detroit '67), David Bar Katz (Tony nominee for Freak), Andreas Boonstra (winner of Sweden's Thaliapriset award) and Lina Ekdahl (winner of Sweden's Werner Aspenstrom Award). Directed by Henning Hegland and Alicia Dhyan House, previews begin September 2 at Off-Broadway's The Lion Theater at Theatre Row. Opening night is set for September 5.

Slightly Altered States Theater Company presents the World Premiere of MR. LANDING TAKES A FALL, an absurdist comedy by Sari Caine, directed by Sherri Eden Barber. Inspired by Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the play was a PlayPenn 2013 semi-finalist and short-listed for both the 24/7 (UK) and the Ronald Duncan Award (UK). Previews begin September 12 at The Flea Theater with opening slated for Monday, September 22.

Libertine Idol Productions has announced that COMING: A ROCK MUSICAL OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS, an irreverent, darkly comedic view of the Biblical Book of Revelation, with book, lyrics and music by Erik Ransom, direction by Rachel Klein and music direction and arrangement by Charles Czarnecki, will begin performances on August 8 - 22, at Theatre 80 (80 St. Mark's Place), as part of the New York International Fringe Festival. www.comingthemusical.com

Lincoln Center Theater has announced the addition of two new plays to its 2014-2015 season: THE MYSTERY OF LOVE AND SEX by Bathsheba Doran, to be directed by Sam Gold, which begins previews Thursday, February 5, and opens on Monday, March 2, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater; and the LCT3 production of VERITE by Nick Jones, to be directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, beginning Saturday, January 31 through Sunday, March 15, and opening on Wednesday, February 18 at the Claire Tow Theater.
