Berkley Rep Adds Additional Performances of 'Yellowjackets'

As a result of ticket demand, Berkley Repertory Theatre has announced an extension for Yellowjackets. Yellowjackets will now play through October 19 on the intimate Thrust Stage. This is only the first sting in a potent theatre season at Berkeley Rep, which continues this fall with an alluring adaptation of The Arabian Nights from Tony Award-winner Mary Zimmerman and Delroy Lindo's powerful staging of Joe Turner's Come and Gone.
Public Theater to Present NY Premiere of Hoch's New Play, 'Taking Over'

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will present the New York premiere of TAKING OVER, the first new solo play by OBIE Award winner Danny Hoch in 10 years. Prior to its run at The Public in November, the Hip-Hop Theater Festival and The Public will join forces to present free performances of TAKING OVER in neighborhoods most affected by the play's explosive topic of gentrification: the South Bronx, Long Island City, and Williamsburg.
