Tickets to Clarence Brown Theatre's Gala Now On Sale

Tickets to the Clarence Brown Theatre 2014 Gala are on sale now. Celebrating the CBT's 40th Anniversary Season and benefiting the Clarence Brown Theatre Artists Fund Endowment, this year's gala will be held on June 8, 2014 at 6:30 pm at The Standard on Jackson Avenue in conjunction with the Tony Awards, Broadway's biggest night.

Due to popular demand, the Clarence Brown Theatre has added a Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 pm performance to the run of "Monty Python's Spamalot". WRENS to Run 3/27-4/13 at Clarence Brown Theatre's Lab Theatre

Anne V. McGravie's semi-autobiographical story about Navy servicewomen during World War II will play in the Clarence Brown Theatre's Lab Theatre March 27-April 13, 2014. The corporate sponsor for this production is Stowers Machinery. Due to popularity, seating is extremely limited. A first-come-first served waiting list will begin forty-five minutes prior to curtain for sold out performances. Should seating become available through ticket donations, release of house seats, or other means, these seats will be released to patrons based on the order of the waiting list.

Fiasco Theater to Make DC Debut with THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA at Folger Theatre, 4/17-5/25

The highly celebrated New York troupe Fiasco Theater will make their Washington, DC debut with their production of William Shakespeare's clever comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Folger Theatre. Directed by company members Jessie Austrian and Ben Steinfeld, The Two Gentlemen of Verona will play at the Folger from April 17 - May 25, 2014.

Clarence Brown Theatre Extends THE WHIPPING MAN Through 2/23

Due to popular demand and Winter Storm Pax, the Clarence Brown Theatre has added additional performances of 'The Whipping Man'. The added performance dates are: Sunday, February 16 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, February 22 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, February 23 at 2:00 pm.

Clarence Brown Theatre to Present THE WHIPPING MAN, 1/30-2/16

The Clarence Brown Theatre opens the second half of its season with Matthew Lopez' highly acclaimed "The Whipping Man" running January 30 to February 16 in the Carousel Theatre and directed by John Sipes. The production is sponsored by BB&T, Knoxville Area Urban League, Knox County Tourism Consortia, Tennessee Arts Commission, and the City of Knoxville.

Dr. Stuart Rockoff to Present 'Southern Jews and Slavery' in conjunction with CBT's THE WHIPPING MAN

The Knoxville Jewish Alliance (KJA) and the Clarence Brown Theatre (CBT) have announced that Dr. Stuart Rockoff will present "Southern Jews and Slavery" at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be presented in collaboration with the theater'sproduction of The Whipping Man, a drama about the Civil War running Thursday, January 30 through Sunday, February 16, 2014. The center is located at 6800 Deane Hill Drive. Light refreshments will be served.
