Weekend movie box office estimates: August 6 - August 8, 2010.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)/Los Angeles will honor Michael Sheen and Christopher Nolan on November 4, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Sheen will be presented with the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year, while Nolan will be honored with the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for artistic excellence in directing.

Speranza Theatre Company invites you to World Premiere of THE AWESOME DANCE by Nick Starr. The production, directed by Malinda Sorci, marks the NY stage debut of Dileep Rao (Inception, Avatar, Drag Me To Hell). Performances run September 2 - 26 at The Cherry Pit is located at 155 Bank Street between West & Washington Streets.

In a recent Advocate article, Joseph Gordon-Levitt hinted at an upcoming musical theatre project.

Oscar®-winning composer Hans Zimmer and heralded guitarist Johnny Marr (The Smiths, Modest Mouse, The Cribs) will perform a special concert backed by a 20-piece orchestra Tuesday, July 13th.

Inception: Music From The Motion Picture - the dramatic score to the highly anticipated sci-fi actioner Inception - will be released digitally and on CD by Warner Bros. Records on July 13th, three days before the movie opens nationwide in theatres and IMAX on July 16th. A vinyl edition of the soundtrack will be released on August 3rd.
