Broadway legends and Tony nominees Chita Rivera and John Kander talked to USA Today and explained how their work is their real reward.

It was announced today that The Visit, recently nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will host a conversation with two iconic composers following the evening performance on Wednesday, May 20.  Tony Award-winning composer of The Visit, John Kander, will sit down with Tony Award winning composer of the upcoming Broadway musical Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda.  Tickets are available for this special performance and talkback at telecharge.com (212-239-6200). The Visit is on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater (149 West 45thStreet, NYC).  Time Out New York is the sponsor for the evening. 

The company of Broadway's The Visit gathered in the studio today, April 27th, to record the musical's original cast album. The Visit is the final musical ever written by legendary Oscar Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award-winning composer John Kander and his writing partner lyricist Fred Ebb, before Mr. Ebb passed away. Produced by the Emmy Award-winning and Grammy nominated producer Michael Croiter (Matilda, Big Fish, Heathers), The Visit album will be released June 26th, 2015. It was announced today that The Visit, which will open tonight, Thursday, April 23rd as the final musical of the 2014-2015 Broadway season, will record its cast album. On her Sunday off from Broadway's IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, Tyne Daly went to see her friend Chita Rivera in THE VISIT at the Lyceum Theater and congratulated her (after jumping to her feet for the standing ovation) backstage in her dressing room after the show. THE VISIT is set to open this Thursday, April 23rd, making it the final musical and the last show to open in the 2014-2015 season. Scroll down for a photo!

A rush policy was announced today for the new Broadway musical The Visit, for students to witness legends doing what made them legendary in this momentous event that is history in the making. Rush tickets are $29.

Producers announced today that Tony® Award-winner Donna McKechnie will be the STANDBY for the lead role of Claire Zachannassian in the highly anticipated musical, The Visit, soon to open on Broadway. Its first time ever at Music Circus, the sizzling, sexy Kander and Ebb smash hit Chicago is the final show of the 2013 Music Circus season, with an extended run at the Wells Fargo Pavilion from August 20 - 29. The 1996 revival of this hit musical, one of the cornerstones of the choreographic Broadway legacy of Bob Fosse, won 6 Tony Awards and is still running on Broadway. With a plot centered on murderesses Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, on death row together fighting for the fame that may keep them from the gallows, the show features a number of popular songs including 'All That Jazz,' 'Razzle Dazzle' and 'Cell Block Tango.'
