Cape Cod Chorale (CCC) and Choral Art Society of the South Shore (CAS), two of Eastern Massachusetts’ community choral ensembles, join forces this spring in honor of CCC’s 40th anniversary season in concert, performing “Mozart and Two Mendelssohns,” on Saturday, May 6, 4 pm at Scituate Center for the Performing Arts, 606 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy.

Choral Art Society of the South Shore (CAS), the region’s community choral ensemble, will present “What a Wonderful World: Songs of Earth, Sea, and Sky”, on Sunday, May 1, 4 pm at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 916 Main Street, Hingham.

Choral Art Society of the South Shore, a welcoming, non-auditioned community chorus, invites new singers to attend the first rehearsal of the fall season on Tuesday, September 14, from 7 to 9 pm, at First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate. Artistic Director and Conductor Danica A. Buckley welcomes returning members and newcomers of all skill levels to join the first rehearsal and learn about the fall season. Rehearsals continue on Tuesday nights through the season, culminating in a December performance.

The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) announces the COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund awarded 39 grants to nonprofit arts agencies and nonprofits providing arts programs and services. 

The New York Philharmonic will celebrate its 175th birthday with a subscription program led by former Music Director Alan Gilbert; nearly 100 historic radio broadcast performances released for streaming for the first time; a New York Philharmonic Digital Archives release of all of the Orchestra's archival material from the 19th century; a New York Philharmonic Archives exhibit, The New York Philharmonic at 175: A History of Innovation; and a free Insights at the Atrium event, 'Inside the Orchestra: Yesterday, Today, and Imagining the Future,' with Philharmonic musicians.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue is a typical program for the Portland Brass Quintet including quintet staples by JS Bach, Victor Ewald and Morley Calvert, recent compositions by Kevin McKee and John Stevens, and familiar jazz standards.

Maine State Music Theatre is thrilled to present a one night only concert starring Suzanne Nance and Friends on Monday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m. This intimate evening of song will showcase a variety of songs from opera including George Gershwin's, 'Summertime' from PORGY AND BESS; Leo Delibe's 'Lakme Duet (Flower Duet)' from LAKME; George Bizet's 'Au fond du temple saint' from THE PEARL FISHERS; Giacomo Puccini's 'O Soave Faciulla' from LA BOHEME; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 'La ci darem la mano' from DON GIOVANNI; and Gioacchino and Rossini's 'The Cat Duet.'
